We provide a reliable, objective source of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)for all types of medical
conditions. Our Clinical Nutritionists have years of training in Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal Critical
Care Nutrition working as part of the Intensive Care Unit medical team for over seven years.
Beginning with a complete understanding of a patient's needs and objectives, we develop a treatment regim designed
to achieve your goals. Combining expertise in Medical Nutrition and Dietetics, we provide personalized answers
to all of your dietary questions. Our goal is to provide you with specific health solutions with both
your physicians and your objectives in mind. Whether you are trying to reduce your medication or improve glycemic control
for diabetes, need to better understand diet and insulin requirments, reduce high blood pressure, control gastrointestinal
disorders, such as Crohn's Disease, Celiac Sprue or other forms of Irritable Bowel Disease or your physician has asked you
to lose weight, we offer patient education, support, and ongoing intervention.
In addition to outpatient Medical Nutrition, we provide formulary treatment for patients that are on home Enteral and
Total Parenteral Nutrition Support after being discharged from their hospital, including those in Intensive Care. We
will work with your homecare nurse and physician to determine the correct protocol, formulary and administration
of feedings on a daily basis.
If you are on continous or bolus enteral feedings via jejunostomy tube, nasogastric tube or gastrostomy tube we will
calculate your formula per minute/hour and day. If you are on Total Parenteral Nutrition your formula will be calculated
per minute per day and be adjusted based on your daily blood work, urine output and oxygenation measurements. This includes
ventilator and oxygen dependent patients, those on dialysis and post-operative gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and other
clinically compromised patients.
We will be reviewing your blood work and medication regim ongoing and reporting your progress to your physician.
Most of our compliant patients find that they are able to improve their laboratory results, decrease, if not eliminate their
medication for certain diagnosis and improve their overall quality of life.
After years of treating patients we know this approach saves lives, controls many illnesses, produces stronger
athletes and allows patients to achieve and maintain their optimal weights.
